Welcome to Annagh NS, a place where every child matters and every voice is valued.
At Annagh NS, we believe that education isn’t just about academic achievement – it’s about encouraging kind, confident, and capable individuals who are ready to contribute positively to their world.
Our school is founded on strong values: respect, responsibility, resilience, inclusivity, and a commitment to the holistic development of every child. In alignment with our Catholic ethos, we aim to nurture each student’s academic, social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
We take great pride in offering a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where students feel a sense of belonging. Every learner is encouraged to be curious, creative, and courageous in pursuing their passions and discovering their potential.
Children at Annagh NS have access to an indoor hall, a large yard, and an astroturf pitch. Hot meals are delivered daily, free of charge, for all pupils. We have high-quality broadband, interactive boards in each classroom, and access to a large number of laptops available for each class to develop digital literacy within our school.
We offer music lessons from 2nd Class, providing each child with the opportunity to learn traditional Irish music, which is a significant part of our culture and heritage. Sports play a vital role in our children’s lives, and all pupils are encouraged to participate in football, soccer, and basketball. We are fortunate to have a GAA coach from our local club who conducts skills lessons every week. All sporting achievements are celebrated at our school, and various sports are promoted and encouraged throughout the school.
Our dedicated staff work in partnership with families and the wider community to ensure that each child’s unique strengths are recognised and celebrated. Together, we foster a culture of kindness, empathy and mutual respect.
Here at Annagh NS, we recognise that for many families, organising care before and after school is a crucial part of daily life. That is why, in September 2025, we will introduce Afterschool Pals, an on-site before- and after-school care programme managed and run by Mrs Davina Daly and her team. It offers a safe, fun, and welcoming space where children can start their day peacefully or relax in the afternoon with friends, engaging in games, activities, and quiet time. This is a wonderful option for families, and we are proud of the care and sense of community it will foster for our students.
Whether you are a current family, a prospective parent, or a visitor to our website, I invite you to explore what makes Annagh NS such a special place to learn and grow.
We look forward to welcoming you to our school community.
Le gach dea-ghuí,
Caroline Tubridy O’Dea
